Artist-Customized Eames Chair, circa 2000
REF: 8385
Eames chair featuring an artist intervention on a vintage shell, subsequently entirely covered with a new layer of transparent resin.
The backrest is covered with a dense composition of drawn and colored motifs applied over the dark surface of the shell. The entire shell was then re-coated in resin, encapsulating the artwork beneath a thick glossy finish and turning the chair into a unique piece.
The intervention transforms an iconic 20th-century design into an object at the intersection of furniture and an artist's work.
Unidentified artist. Unique piece.
