Meribel chair by Charlotte Perriand, designed in the 1950s to furnish the ski resort of Meribel, in the French Alps. Iconic design by Charlotte Perriand, this chair was also to be found in her own chalet, that she started building as of 1960 on the land the city had given her in exchange for her work.
This is an early version, the first one designed, which notably equipped the Doron Hotel in Méribel.
Its beechwood frame is entirely handcrafted, it consists of four round legs connected by an X-shaped brace, and the original straw seat and backrest in excellent condition.
