  • Max Bill

Rationalised version of the celebrated Ulm Stool, originally designed in 1954 by Max Bill with Hans Gugelot and Paul Hildinger for the Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm. This example corresponds to the version produced from 1962 in the school's workshops.

Chipboard panels are combined with turned wood crossbars in a deliberately simple and economical construction. Used as a seat, side table or small module, the stool reflects Ulm's approach to versatile and easily reproducible furniture.
