Prefabricated bathroom cabin designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Les Belles Challes residence at Les Arcs 1800, produced in 1975.
Made from two moulded polyester shells assembled off-site, this prefabricated bathroom integrates a bathtub, washbasin, toilet, lighting and storage within a fully equipped monobloc unit. Delivered ready for installation by crane directly onto the construction site, it reflects Charlotte Perriand's research into prefabrication for collective housing and the rationalisation of mountain architecture.
Developed in collaboration with Résine Armée, this bathroom cabin represents one of the most innovative projects created for Les Arcs. Conceived as an integral architectural element, it embodies the modern vision of Les Arcs 1800, where furniture, architecture and technical equipment were designed as a unified whole.
