The rectangular top with rounded corners reveals a richly veined surface incorporating visible marine fossils, including shells and fragments of cephalopods dating approximately from 340 to 480 million years ago. The polished stone surface highlights the organic and mineral structure of these natural inclusions, creating a unique and irreproducible pattern.

The piece rests on a central base in solid hackberry wood, whose simple and stable construction contrasts with the dense graphic character of the stone top. This combination of ancient mineral material and solid wood gives the piece a strong sculptural presence, somewhere between furniture and a collector's object.
