Hamish frequently returns to sculpting cattle, a favourite subject that continues to inspire and delight him. During lockdown, Hamish made a new series of small bronze bull sculptures - Bull Walking 2021, Bull Head Down 2021, Bull Head Up 2021 - three individual dynamic studies of cattle in characteristic poses.
Both the subject and the material lends itself well to Hamish's loose and energetic handling, which brings a liveliness to this series of bronze bull sculptures.
They complement each other perfectly and together make a fine trio for the collector.
