These exceptional Candlesticks are cast and display a six sided shaped base, which is slightly domed and decorated with Rococo shells, scrolls and cascading flutes. The base rises to a baluster shaped stem decorated with cascading shells and horizontal gadrooned bands. The pull off nozzles display the same shells and gadrooning, as is shown on the base. The Candlesticks are modelled in a very unusual design and are in excellent, crisp, condition. Each displays a crisp set of hallmarks in the base and a maker's mark and sterling mark on each nozzle. Ebenezer Coker was a specialaist candlestick maker, who was working in Clerkenwell Close when these Candlesticks were made.
