The Creamboats have an elongated baluster form, with pronounced pouring spout and shaped edge. Each stands on three shell feet, with an additional shell moulding where it is attached to the main body. The scroll handle is decorated with leaf capping and the side is engraved with a double contemporary Crest. Both pieces are in excellent condition and are crisply marked on the base. William Skeen was a specialist maker of sauce and creamboats and had workshops in St Ann's Lane, nears Aldersgate, when these pieces were made.
