This spectacular piece has a shaped broad rectangular form and stands on four cast winged paw feet. The edge of the main body is decorated with gadrooning interspersed with raying shells, flanked by acanthus foliage. Each end displays two scroll carrying handles, decorated with unusual raised anthemion motifs. The three circular bottle cages are held in place by a skewer mechanism underneath and are decorated with vertical reeding. The cut glass bottles have silver mounts and removable covers, with a gadrooned rim and each terminate in a ball finial. Both the bottle covers and the main body are engraved with a contemporary Crest. The underside of the main body is engraved with "The Gift of Mr Easter Jones". This piece is of the finest quality and is in quite excellent condition.
