The Box has a deep oval form with pull off cover. The cover is beautifully decorated with an outer band of filigree work enclosing blue bell garlands and floral sprigs. The central oval disc cartouche is engraved with a contemporary Crest and also displays a filigree frame. The cover pulls off to reveal plain silver mounts on both the cover and the base. As you will appreciate, it is most unusual to find Table Tortoiseshell Pique Snuff Boxes, as most were made for the pocket. We have had very few over the years.
