This exceptionally rare piece is a design which was peculiar to Chester. The plain design has a distinctive belied central section and everted base and rim. The Mug has a plain scroll handle and is very well marked on the base. The weight and gauge is exceptional and the original interior hammer marks can also be seen. These mugs are very rare, however the example we offer is much larger than their usual size.
