The Box has a circular form, with pull off cover. The sides and base are finely engraved with prick dot design and the cover with a chequered central panel around a bead engraved outer band. This was a design also made in the workshops of Phipps & Robinson. The interior is finely gilded and displays crisp marks on both sections. Decorative patches were placed on the face to hide marks and blemishes and were kept in such containers.
