This beautiful wine label displays a very unusual pierced and engraved border depicting vine leaves and tendrils, together with bunches of grapes. The slightly curved banner is engraved for PORT with niello filled lettering. This unusual piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse. For an identical example see "Wine Labels - A Worldwide History" page241.
