Paul Chapman
Paul is a woodcraft artisan / sculptor based on the Isle of Wight
Working with reclaimed woods, cutting and laminating to create sculptural shell /vessel forms.
Paul trained as a musical instrument maker (oboes clarinets) and studied 3D design at north brook college in Sussex.
Paul's ethos is to make tactile forms that you would like to touch and have on your lap while watching TV.
The pieces you see are made of re-appropriated 50s birch plywood furniture and mahogany from the old doors of Croydon school of art.
