The Salver stands on three hoof feet and displays a raised, stepped, border. The centre is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a foliate scroll and brick work cartouche. This piece is in excellent condition, has a good colour and fine marks. George Hindmarsh was apprentice to the salver maker Robert Abercromby and seems to also have been a specialist in this area. He had workshops in Christopher Court, St Martin's Le Grand, when this piece was made.
Diameter: 6 inches, 15cm.
Weight: 8oz.
