The Caddy Spoon has an unusual rounded bowl with a partially hooded section at the rear. The bowl is engraved with wriggle work designs on a scratch engraved ground, enclosed by a prick dot border. The hood is engraved with similar designs as seen in the bowl and the fiddle pattern handle is engraved with trailing foliate motifs and a vacant tear drop prick dot cartouche. The spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked in the bowl. A similar design, by the same makers, is shown in "Caddy Spoons", by Captain John Norie, Plate 49, Fig f.
