The Salver is oval in form and stands on four panel feet with scroll ends. The raised rim is decorated with a reeded band and the main body is engraved with an outer band of bright cut flower heads and foliate motifs on a scratch engraved ground. The centre of the Salver is engraved with a contemporary Armorial with Crest above, all surrounded by a most beautiful cartouche of drapery mantling, which was a popular design at this date. The Salver is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse. It is an ideal size for serving drinks.
