This very rare Vinaigrette is broad rectangular if form and the cover and base are identically decorated with a rose in bloom growing up a trellis work panel. This is all enclosed by a rare border of foliate motifs and berries. The sides are decorated with linear bands and the cover opens up to reveal a gilded interior and grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls around a central flower head. The piercing is surrounded by a herring bone frame. A very rare design in most excellent condition. Fully marked on the bezel.
