The Salt Cellars are rectangular in form and stand on four floral and foliate winged paw feet. The baluster main bodies are decorated with lobing and display a vacant shield haped cartouche on each side. The everted rim is decorated with foliate motifs and both have acanthus, shell and scroll ends. The interiors are gilded and both are fully marked on the base. A most unusual design.
