The Shears are modelled in the King's pattern which is double struck, with the pattern being on the front and the reverse.  The oval finger rings are decorated with reeding and the central boss is modelled to simulate a flower head.  One of the arms is also engraved with a contemporary Crest.  The Shears are in quite excellent condition and are marked on the inside of each of the blades.  Shears made by the the most important of British silversmiths are particularly rare.Length: 6.6 inches, 16.5cm.Weight: 4oz.
