The cast Cream Boat is of a very unusual design in the manner of Paul De Lamerie. This piece stands on four scroll feet attached to the sides with foliate mouldings. The main body has a very unusual shallow elongated form, with sparrow beak spout. The base is decorated with swirl lobing, and the sides with an eclectic mix of floral sprays, scrolls and Rococo shells. The interior is gilded and the scroll handle is decorated with bold beading and leaf capping. This piece is in excellent crisp condition and is very well marked. A most unusual piece.
