The Caddy Spoon has a large bowl, flared at the end with lobes to simulate the shape of the thistle. The heart shaped inner bowl is engraved with foliate designs on a prick dot ground. The fiddle pattern handle is engraved with trailing foliate motifs, as well as a shield shaped cartouche engraved with a contemporary script initial, with petals above. This piece is very well marked and is in excellent condition. A very rare design.
Length: 4 inches, 10cm.
Width of the thistle end: 2 inches, 5cm.
