This exceptional Spoon is modelled in the Dognose style, with a rat tail on the reverse of the bowl. The top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary unicorn Crest with the motto "In Well Beware", above and a set of contemporary initials below. The spoon is in excellent condition, with a good bowl and colour, and displays crisp marks. The Crest is that of the Wombwell family of Wombwell, County Yorkshire. Henry Greene was registered as a large worker, however he made very fine spoons in his workshop.Length: 8 inches, 20cm.
