A very fine George III Scent Etui made in Birmingham in 1796 by Samuel Pemberton.

The Etui is broad rectangular in form with slightly tapering sides. The sides are engraved with prick dot and bright cut bands and a lozenge shaped cartouche containing contemporary script initials. The interior opens up to reveal its original glass bottle and stopper.  This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the base and cover.
