The Salver stands on three cast panel feet with scroll ends, and a beaded border. The raised rim is also decorated with a beaded band and the centre is beautifully engraved with a contemporary Armorial, with Crest above, all surrounded by a bluebell drop and floral garland cartouche. The Salver is in excellent condition, has a good colour and is very well marked, as would be expected from these famous Salver makers. The Arms and Crest are those of the Asketine family of West Peckham, County Kent.
