This very fine, heavy die stamped, wine label has a broad rectangular form with gadrooned border, displaying raying Rococo shells in each corner, flanked by acanthus foliage. The plain face has incuse sides and is pierced for HOCK.  This example is in excellent, crisp, condition and is very well marked on the reverse.  The face is also engraved with a contemporary Crest below the coronet of an Earl, as used by the Earl of Whitworth.
