The central shaped shaft is baluster in form and displays an attractive section of swirl fluting at the base as well as gadrooning and fluting up the socket section. The detachable square nozzles display the same swirl fluting shown on the shaft. Each piece is fully marked in the base and with the maker's mark and sterling mark on the nozzles. Ebenezer Coker was a specialist candlestick maker, who was working in Clerkenwell Close, when these candlesticks were made. His output is always of the finest quality.
