This very rare Pepper Caster stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of linear designs.  The cylindrical main body is most unusually decorated with scale work and a lower horizontal band of foliate spears, in addition to the same band of linear designs as seen on the foot.  The pull-off cover has a domed central section pierced with vertical bands and roundels.  The pepper is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the main body, as well as the cover.

Height: 3.5 inches, 8.75 cm.

Diameter at the rim: 1.7 inches, 4.25 cm.

Weight: 5oz.
