The Vinaigrette is realistically modelled in the cushion form. The sides are engraved with chequered designs and the base and cover with raying flower heads. The central cartouche is engraved with a Gothic initial "B". The cover opens up to reveal an unusual slender grille pierced with a central oval containing a flower head, surrounded by foliate motifs, all contained in a prick dot frame. This piece is in excellent condition, as expected from these premier box makers.
