This quite exceptional George III Vinaigrette is realistically modelled as a Pocket Watch. The cover is inset with a finely facetted citrine with rim chased with floral motifs. The sides are decorated with reeding and the base with engine turned concentric designs. The cover opens up to reveal a most outstanding gold grille, pierced and engraved with a beautiful basket of flowers. This piece also has a suspensory ring at the top which is also chased with floral motifs. This is a most unusual example and is in most excellent, crisp, condition.
Diameter: 1 inch, 2.5 cm.
Length, including the suspensory ring: 1.45 inches, 3,63 cm.
