The Sauce Label is modelled in a domed eye shape, with a double reeded border.  The label is finely engraved with the title of CAVICE and is well marked on the reverse, with the maker's mark, sterling mark and duty mark.  Cavice is a rare name to find on a sauce label and refers to Caveach which is an Indian conserve of picked mackerel for use with fish.
